    Torque difference between bikes

Wondered what others observed on this subject. My honda vtx 1800, when you accelerate, it would throw you back as it propelled you forward. On this rocket, no throwing back, just forward. Have you noticed this, and if so what is the explaination? Is it 2 cylinder vs 3? Thanks in advance!

DIY Beginner Upgrades Cams & Pistons - Lives To Tell The Tale

I just finished a Neville Lush piston and cam rebuild in ""record time"" with no prior experience. I had allowed myself a full five days during the Christmas holidays for the install. Well, now, more than three months later, I’m finally in a position to say, "job completed!" and share this story...

Quick Dyno check and slight tweek

Installed the Ramiar some time ago and had the Jardine set up from new. Downloaded and installed a Tune From @HansO and was wondering how it was doing. Always ran great. Last weekend was in a long Ride and it starting acting up. Would stall under decel when coming to a stop and act as if hydro...

Reinstalling rear wheel speed sensor disc. Had red loctite on it. Anyone know the torque setting on these little bolts? Also, torque for final drive flange ("driven flange" in the manual - the gear on wheel that mounts to hub). Blue loctite there.... I couldn't find anything in a search Many...

    smooth lower end torque

Wondering how to achieve smoother lower end torque, I'm lazy at times and don't want to necesarily down shift in slow moving areas of road. My set up is pretty basic currently, Ram Air, Dave Platt link pipe and stock mufflers. I have tried the TORs but the drone kills my ears even with ear...

    $1500 performance upgrade

So, I'm still building out my R3T exactly how I want it, and seeking a bit more performance. Right now, I upgraded to a Dain 3-to-1 slip-on, PCV (no dyno tuners using TuneECU), and a RamAir kit. Right now I dyno'd 145hp, 151ft/lbs, not bad considering it's at the wheel and minimal upgrades, but...

    Torque of engine bolt

Mounting the 50mm crash bars, need the torque setting for the large bolt that is on top of the engine, don't know what it's called. 10 inches long or so, goes from one side of the engine to the other, when I look it up in the manuel it says 'see text' can't find it in text. Thanks Hoopla

    Got my torque back !

Finally got my date with the dyno . Restrictions removed , secondarys opened 100% and fueling sorted . First gear is now crisp and sharp off the throttle with wheelspin and second is long and powerful . The bike now pulls like an express train up to the increased limiter with no more clattering...

    Want my torque back

Hi guys . My 2010 roadster has ramair filter , pcv , Tor pipes , link pipe and map .fast but first gear and half of second are almost obsolete . Hill starts are a challenge due to the gutless response below red line . Embarrassing when you can't out drag a moped ! Would refitting the baffle box...

Anyone using an OBDII reader/Torque Pro on their R3???

Hello everyone! I use one of those 25 dollar OBDII Bluetooth readers on Amazon on both of my cars. In conjunction with the Torque Pro app (HIGHLY recommend), I can monitor any information the ECU/sensors are sending. Well I figured I'd hook it up to the Rocket and low and behold, I was receiving...

    Rear caliper torque reaction bolt

I removed the rear wheel today and dropped it off at the dealer to change the tire. Reading the manual, it calls for replacing the torque reaction bolt (step 9). Searching through the forum, it seems like not everyone does this. Thoughts?

    Surprised a sport bike rider

So I've owned my '05 now for one year, I have enjoyed the power on the back roads alone although I have never really toyed with any other riders until yesterday. I was riding to work minding my own business cruising at about 80 mph when I see a sport bike coming up behind me in my mirror. He...
