T1292006 Sensor, Pressure, Airbox - What doe it do?

I know what this part is - but I dont know how much influence this part has on the tune and the running of the bike. I have 2 roadsters, 1 has 230hp and airbox intact and the above mentioned part still installed but all airbox plumbing removed - Bike runs great. 2nd Roadster is 250Hp with ALL...

    Airbox removal/ breather access

I need to put a filter on the crankcase breather, but I can't even get my hands in there. So I'm trying to remove the airbox for access. After unbolting, the manual says to "manoeuvre" the airbox out of the frame. I'm trying to pull it from the right side, but it's very stubborn. Especially...

    Airbox Temperature

Hi Guru's...anyone have any idea about how hot the air-box gets? As I have removed all the bits post my Ramair installation and am using it for storage and to house the remote controller unit. Problem is, I have had my second remote control unit fail. The first was admittedly a cheapie off eBay...

    Airbox Elimination

Searched hard but could not find this info. I purchased a 2006 R3 Classic and the previous owner had installed the 3 K&N filters and had an unknown tune it. It ran great. The bike then developed a stumbling issue at highway speeds. The dealer could not fix it and requested I go back to stock so...

    Need more Air

Firstly my apologies if this has been asked and answered before, I am still trying to find my way around all the posts. I have already had my air box removed and had the 3 K&N filters installed under my Bear Claw, but have recently been thinking about getting rid of the Bear Claw and doing a...

2016 Roadster, D&D Slip Ons, K&N in the stock airbox

So I recently got my 2016 Roadster and one of the great things about my dad having a 2005 Classic is that i can raid his cast off box for parts! I picked up a K&N filter for the stock air box and a set of D&D Slip ons he ran before he got his Jardines. The bike sounds WAY better and looks way...

Airbox removal (not just snorkel/air duct)

Has anyone removed the airbox/air filter housing? I installed the Ramair filter, yet would like to eliminate the airbox so I can install a second battery in it's place.

    Airbox Removal???

Is this a complicated task? I have Reband Pipes on there way and I wanna go with filters directly to the Throttle Bodies. I did this on my 109 and there were sensors, PCV and temp. Is there anything I need to know ahead of time so I dont run into any surprises? Any help will be greatly...

    airbox....finished product

It hasn't had an official road test yet, but I have had it running and I'm glad I put the insulation/sound deadener on the airbox. Prior to this, I ran it and you could hear a thrumming sound, which I could change by placing my hand on the back of the airbox (which is the largest flat sheet of...

    Scratch-built airbox

This project actually began because I wanted to use the stock airbox for my amp. After looking over the filter/airbox possibilities available for the R3T I decided I would have to be creative. I have always preferred a symetrical look, so I started researching velocity stacks.....you know, old...

    airbox#2

As you can see it is a tight fit. I'm glad I moved them forward since my knee fits just where it should just behind the rear filter. All I have to do yet is insulate the exterior with heat rejecting tape and permanently glue the box to throttle body grommets in place. I like the symmetry of the...

    MGS custom airbox

The airbox and the Jardines are on the bike. Ya all know how good the Jars are, so I'll skip telling you how much I like them. LoL The airbox and the bearclaw look good. They blend in very well with the bike. The black bearclaw looks so much better than the chrome one. I'll get some...

    Bear claw - Airbox

What is it that comprises the air box that is under the bear claw. It it a filtration device or simply an air distribution box which obtains air from the underseat filter. I've failed to obtain the answer from the shop manual.
