Is it advisable to use a front / rear stand like these on the Rocket? Would the weight hold up? Mostly looking to do oil changes, maybe install accessories and eventually use as a solution to store the bike off the ground during winter. Don't mind incurring some upfront cost for longterm gain...
What tools do you carry in that small storage space under the seat for roadside repairs? What size wrenches are needed on the R3? I’m starting with a flat blade screwdriver, small metric hex set, 8mm wrench, tire pressure gage, spare 2032 fob battery, and an Apple AirTag.
Note: The key FOB...
G'day Folks, I have a sick motor and wanted to gauge some advice before pulling it apart.
The Background is-
Its a 2004 American Rocket with circa 40k miles on the clock,
Has not been ridden much the last couple of years and after 12 months sat idle i've pulled it out, stuck a new battery on...
Do I need to overfill my tires while the bike is sitting in a heated garage for its 6 month nap? Are flat spots a myth with newer tire technology ? What do you guys normally do?
I need to leave my Rocket III in the Pacific Northwest 'till spring. I have less than a gallon in the tank. Last time I stored it was more than a decade, and I had to replace the fuel pump and have the fuel injector nozzles cleaned. I think I can empty the tank (pull the fuel line off the tank...
First of all, it's not the fuel that was left in it; I drained the old fuel by removing the fuel pump from the bottom of the tank, and replace it with fresh gas.
It cranks fine, has good spark (it vroomed nicely when I gave it a shot of starting fluid in the airbag, but quit immediately after)...
Hello. New to the R3 Owners group, though I have had my 2006 Classic for a few years now (Cherry and New England White, 3200 mi). Made a mistake: left bike stored much longer than I ever imagined, 3 years, and with fuel still in the tank. So...where do I start in getting her going again? Not an...
Don't quite know where to put this so I'll drop it here and see if it stays or gets moved,,,,
Well the end of my first season of Rocket III ownership is on me and for the last while I have been considering my storage options. My garages are full of other toys and junk and I just could not seem...
Been wanting to get the stsereo system for my bike setup and have been trying to figure out precisely where I'm going to put the amplifier so i added a front fork bag above the headlight. Any anyone else was wanting to add a bit of storage to the front, the clamp bar for the cable management...
I just picked up a 2010 R3T this weekend. I was wondering if you all leave the windscreen on all of the time or store it until you take a trip. I took it off to ride to work today (bad idea, it's a bit chilly here in Michigan), and I don't like the idea of it just laying around in the garage...
Hey there everyone, Just thought I'd ask a simple but important question about cold weather bike storage!
So I have two bikes, the Triumph Rocket of course and the BMW R1200gs.
I am currently storing them in a airplane hanger with absolutely no insulation just protection from wind/rain and...
Almost time to put my bike in winter storage. I keep it in my garage over the winter but I would like a bike cover to keep the dust etc off of it. I looked at the
Nelson-Rigg Deluxe All Season Cover
Anybody have this cover? Is it any good? What size did you get? On the website they are very...
A few pics of my Rocket III with a Tsukayu trunk I ordered direct from Japan. The trunk is solid and stable, very nice chrome brackets.
I added a set of '52 Ford tail lights on for extra detail...thanks to another R3O member who did a similar job.
This trunk solves ALL storage problems and...
