the other day i was working on the bike , i had the little triangle piece of plastic off , right hand side of bike , i noticed oil all over that imediate area , what would cause oil to blow out of that filter, yes i did the triple filter mod, 2007 classic 2500 miles

Make sure its coming from the filter and not the head gasket area. You should be able to see if its the head gasket or not as thoil won't be up that high if its the filter. Excess crankcase pressure is the only thing that will cause the oil to blow out the filter.

Crank case pressure. The original design used the vacuum of the airbox to maintain the CC at a slight negative pressure. With the filter mod the pressure can be greater than 0 so any oil mist can be blown out. The K&N absorbs the oil until the filter is saturated. When you see the oil around the base it's time to clean the filter of excess oil. Remember to reoil the filter before installation (very light spray mist only to ensure air sucked in during cooldown is dirt free).

Was just told the same thing by my dealer. Had the head gasket replaced courtesy of Triumph but advised to also keep an eye on that little filter.

In my case there were signs of leaking oil from the head gasket before I put triples on. Only recently did it start dropping oil - not a lot, just the occassion drop (one a week sort of thing) and only when the engine was hot. More recently it did start dropping a bit more, which was most likely caused by the build up from the head gasket leak. It could possibly also have been from the breather where the small filter now is but that would most likely have been coincidental. As long as the bike is tuned properly for the filters (and any other mods) I can't see they'd cause any harm.

The dealer just said to keep an eye on the filter in case I thought the head gasket had started leaking again.

Is the triple filter mod dangerous to the head gasket ,engine???

I don't have the triple filter mod on mine, but it doesn't seem very likely that it would be dangerous to the head gasket.

Consider the pressure created by the combustion process. The amount of pressure added by not having slightly negative pressure in the crank case would be negligible .

Just a thought, the breather filter is pretty low on the crank case maybe raising the level of the CC breather filter would reduce the amount oil pumped out.
