2nd bike or...

My R3T is my only bike. It was strange - I "bonded" with it (if a person can really do that) within the first minute of my test ride and knew instantly that I would buy it and love it. So far, I have no need for anything else (and no real lust for anything else either).

I'm a one bike guy, but that's not by choice. I've been riding motorcycles since I'm 12 years old and I'm soon to be 61 with a little bit o' luck.

If I comfortably had the room to keep another motorcycle, I would have at least one more in addition to the Beast and very possibly a third. Today's choices would likely be a Thruxton, as machine number two and a sport-tourer to complete the stable... very likely the Connie 14.

Variety is indeed the spice of life and that is why an additional bike or two would be optimal for me. The Rocket III is by far and away the most gratifying and satisfying motorcycle I have ever had, but no one machine can do all of the things that I like to do on two wheels optimally, hence my short wishlist consisting of a smaller, runabout sort of bike and a more deftly maneuverable, go-fast machine that is purpose built for touring.

KAW VN2K = Big ass V-Twin - still fun to ride - Great poser with 18: ape hangers. Also nice to have for worthy company flying in to visit from out of state.
HONDA = little 1980 200 with only 400 miles. Putting on antique tabs to put around on once in awhile. Was my Dad's putter during the 80 gas crunch.
The Rocket is my main tool! We are still solidifying our togetherness for max ride performance and chubby factor.
Wouldn't mind having an old cherry 750, like a Norton P11 or a cute Triumph Bobber like this one:

My '08 T100 was my entry into riding after a 30 year hiatus:

I rode it for a year and a half before trading it in on my new old stock 2012 R3R:

Now:

But, for a few years before that, and for more 25 mile before breakfast rides than I care to remember; I've had, and still ride, my Trek Navigator 2.0:

I still love a good workout in the morning!

Paul stop sucking that gut in, my other bike is a Triumph Adventurer (2001) fun bike for around town and overall just a fun bike, probably going to buy my pals YamyR1 when he buys the new BMW 1000 sports bike.
I told my wife I need it for the ARC classes that I teach.

99 Kawasaki ZRX1100. Had it since 2004. First street bike, had a 2004 Yamaha FZ1 that I loved, but I wrecked it.

Don't you have a Kawi mosquito killer?

Why yes I do. I guess I don't really consider it a second bike as I only ride it on it's ten year anniversaries. Will take it out in 2019 for it's 50th (if not before). I bought it in 1976 for $250.00 with 7,000 miles on the clock. It ran but seemed sluggish. To make a long story short when it was assembled at the factory they neglected to install one of the locating pins in the pressed together crank. This allowed the right cylinder to slip out of time with the other two. Had it re-indexed and pinned and have had it ever since. So it's not really a resto, more of a "survivor".
