So having read all the threads on Rivco risers I bought a pair and was installing them today. After getting the bars off and the old risers I realize that the 2 new bolts are about 1/2" too long. I go to autozone and get some that fit. I get the bars on and man the throttle cables are tight. I had already pulled off the clutch cable and re-routed per rivco's instructions, but it didn't mention the others. So i take off the brake lines and the throttle cables and snap part of the plastic throttle piece off that holds the cable, crap! Now I have to order a new throttle tube, and probably new kuryakyn grips too, since its glued to it. I also realize that new linger brake lines and throttle cables would probably be a good idea, so I can route them properly. I'm getting in way deeper then I wanted to with this seemingly simple upgrade. Oh well, live and learn...
