Tune for 2011 Touring with K&N pods and Tours

snowbandit,

don't mean to be a smart ass, I know first hand how hard it is to make sense of this stuff. But it does seem the touring model is lacking for performance mods... I guess the guys that wanted to go fast bought the ugly 2 eyed bike.... :D

The lambda probe (λ-probe) is a sensor that in a combustion exhaust gas to the respective residual oxygen content measures in order to regulate it, the ratio of combustion air to fuel for further combustion so that neither occurs a fuel still a surplus of air. It is the main sensor in the control loop lambda control of catalytic emission control (colloquially regulated catalytic converter). It uses two measuring principles: tension of a solid electrolyte (Nernstsonde) and change in resistance of a ceramic (resistivity probe).

You don't need a Gipro with a tune. Its likely the tune accomplishes everything the Gipro does and much more. The sensor, as pointed out is just your O2 sensor. The tune has it removed, which means you need to remove yours to use the tune, or alternatively just check the box in the tune that tells it you have the sensor connected.

If you remove the sensor you'll need Dyno Jet's O2 sensor bypass.

You are running an unusual combination with the triple filters, but with TORS. That's why you're not finding more tunes. Most who have gone the triple filter route have also installed a full exhaust system. You'll give up some power with your setup, but you'll have a quieter running bike.

I have to have quite as Maine is starting to crack down on loud bikes..

The advice on the O2 sensor is that if you uncheck the box, disconnect the sensor under the right side cover. If you decide to remove it completely from the exhaust, you need to replace it with a bung. I have disconnected and reconnected mine many times over the years without removing it completely with no ill effects.

So if that tune has dyno I will be safe running it on my bike with the same setup correct? Is there anything I should look for when I am riding that will be sure signs that I need to change something?

When I pull the plugs what color should they be if the tune is right?
