Most I got from a Metz was 4,800kms. Got around 6,500 from Avon (twice). Sitting on around 9,000 km from the Bridgestone, might make it to 10,000. In other words, Metz cost me around 8.75c per km, Bridgstone will be around 4c per km. I don't do burn outs but I do like to accelerate hard and corner hard. I'd have to comletely change my riding style to get anywhere near what Scorp gets but I have no doubt the profile of the Bridgestone adds to the mileage.

I have 4800klm on my rear Metz still got good tread life left and I enjoy wheel spin off the lights often especially if I am at the front of the traffic lights next to a HD or any other bike for that matter:D

Another thing I just realized about the Excedra was that it still handled good even when it was wore out. It didn't get the flat spot in the middle nearly as bad as the Metz, so it didn't become a mini "darkside".

Ah!! Darkside don't have flat spot like a badly worn bike tyre, you see a bike tyre has a very stiff carcass so when you have excessive wear yes you have a tyre that feels like it has a hinge or a high spot in it when you go into a corner. A Darksidehas a softer carcass which has give in it do you can lean some like the Toyo Proxes are to soft hence they wil actually run on to the sidewall but others like my federal don't but give enought so you don't have the hinge or high spot so transition smootherly into full lean

I stand corrupted !

But you are nevertheless correct about the Bridgestone. The tread in the middle is deeper to start with and they do seem to wear evenly.

Geez I was wondering when someone might bite even then it was just a couple of little tiddlers
