Just replaced my rear Bridgestone. Had 7800 miles on it. Probably would have made it to 9000 but the Maggie valley ride is about 2000 miles altogether for me. At any rate it;
(1) Lasted twice as long as a Metzler.
(2) Hooks up better.
(3) Handled as good or better.
(4) Taller profile gives slightly higher gearing.
(5) Oh ya, lots cheaper too !
Care to guess what kind I replaced it with ?
A darkside Toyo Proxes TR1 245/55/16 now do I get a Cookie

:evil: HE He The Devil made Me DO IT :D:D:D

had a new Metz put on the front today at Tyres 4 Bikes Gore St. Albion. $280 fitted. Tried to get a Bridgstone to match the Exedra on the back but they are only 'H' rated so no good.

Awaiting for my Bridgestone for the rear, been 3 weeks now. Managed to get 17,500kms from the Metz. Looking at it I should have really changed it at about 15,000kms. Tyres for bikes in Perth, $439 fitted, yikes........the Metz was $430 3 years back. No difference in price here between the two but will like the higher profile to help reduce spin, quite a few times have fish tailed, last time going between two slow cars, mind you it was a bit of a buzz.

It's amazing the different milage we get out of the same tyres I only got 8500km out of the original Metz Canberra gets 6500km then Scorp gets 17000km

Yeah but I really really do not want to get nabbed by the cops....kinda smooth at the moment, and yes, mostly the RHS

Most I got from a Metz was 4,800kms. Got around 6,500 from Avon (twice). Sitting on around 9,000 km from the Bridgestone, might make it to 10,000. In other words, Metz cost me around 8.75c per km, Bridgstone will be around 4c per km. I don't do burn outs but I do like to accelerate hard and corner hard. I'd have to comletely change my riding style to get anywhere near what Scorp gets but I have no doubt the profile of the Bridgestone adds to the mileage.

Happy with my Exedra Max so far bike handles great no counter steer needed.. think I will put one on the front too, Avons nearly done :)

Just ordered an excedra max for the rear, the Avon is on life support. I loved the Avons but they are way too expensive. The metzlers were nice in the rain but I doubt I will ever buy another one.

I got about 17000 out of the back and almost 20000 out of the front but I really should have changed them together. When I got to Tyres 4 Bikes yesterday Dave said I shouldn't have ridden there with the front so worn!
