What's everyone using to clean the crap off their bike chrome exhaust. Shoe mark and burned rain gear and so on. Bluing, yellowing etc.. some products I'm looking at are Blue Job Metal Polish and Motorex 645. Stuff seems to be a little pricey.
I got these on Ebay, but dont particularly like them making money off of me. Anyways, see my ad, make me a reasonable offer and I will end the Ebay auction if there are no bids.

I have several chrome parts that I would like to paint or have coated so I'm checking into prep methods. One that I see a lot of is using an abrasive media blaster. Is this a good method for prepping a chromed item for painting? What is the appropriate media type? glass bead? aluminum oxide...
I have never been a fan of Chrome. So as I usually do, I am doing away with the chrome on my '13 R3R. Tho I am reluctant to "ruin" such nice work, I really think I am going to like my bikes new look. Hopefully my bars are here soon... here's a picture of my ignition trim.. :)
So, I picked up a set of chrome frame covers for my R3T, and I picked the non-ABS version. I wasn't paying attention to the fact that it says from VIN 476462. Mine is earlier than that, but how different could it be? Turns out the right side is different, apparently the fill-in panel behind the...
This one is for the Canadian rider more specifically riders from Ontario Canada. I'm have a hell of a time finding a bolt on no mods needs chrome plate cover.
Has anyone had any luck finding one? The ones offered by Kuryaken don't fit. The bolt holes don't line up. They aren't even remotely...
Finally getting my ass out to Carpenter to get a 210+ kit put on. I have some parts to unload, and hoping to help fund the endeavor.
TORs **May be spoken for** - I had these up for a bit last year and had a buyer, but ended up in a bit of a tumble and I thought they were damaged so I took them...
From a garage clear out.....I have a set of brand new, never fitted with instructions & bolts R3 dresser bars.
They have been sitting on the shelf for years in the protective wrap and one tube has slight bubbling (have a look at the pic.) it should polish out.
$170.00 AUD ono

Blue Job...Absolutely does not scratch or haze chrome and will produce the highest luster of any product out there! Gets burnt on plastic and blueing off without any damage to the chrome. Amazing product!
Removing the sissy bar from my bike and I need a stock pair of chrome rear fender covers to fit a 2006 Rocket III. Anyone have a pair laying around that they would be willing to part with?
Thanks
Buck
Well I got my roadster on Monday, rode it home and put it in the garage, the weather has been rubbish...I went to polish it (needs fussing!) on Wednesday evening and saw these on the exhausts:
How could I have missed these in the showroom? I didn't scrape these silencers! Must have been...
G'day not sure if this is the right place to post but anyhow
After staring at my beautiful machine a bit I noticed this cap on the engine that didn't look right, I'm wondering if the chrome coming off is common? is it easy to replace? will it cost a lot?
Cheers
Davo
Will post to classifieds with photos. At the request of two R3 owners, here is what I plan to offer.
I have these brand new never installed chrome parts: A9758058- solo luggage rack; A9738009 - water pump cover; A9758113 - front fender rail; A9758114 - rear fender rail; A9738009. Thanks. Dan
I just picked up my 2013 R3T at the dealership and was disappointed that the A9708156 chrome front fender rail kit hadn't been installed (one of the many accessories that I wanted) The salesman told me that it is a discontinued item. Why would Triumph discontinue this when still selling the same...
