I bought a 2006 Rocket III classic in December and have been adding some chrome and accessories and I'm just about finished. I decided to go with a Clearview windshield and discovered I couldn't get the windshield brackets separate so I've decided to make my own. If anyone is interested in the windshield brackets let me know because I'm trying to figure out if there is enough interest to market them ?

Here is an old posting from the other site.

Wanted Windshield Hardware

Hi all, I went through the same thing a while back. Bought a CEE Baileys windshield and then found out you can't buy just the brackets. Here is what I found out. I'm not sure if National Cycle makes the windshields for Triumph but I do know the brackets are the same. I bought a blemished National Cycle windshield for a Harley Electra glide and the brackets mount right up. You still need the Triumph windshield fixing kit. The only problem is that the Rocket forks are farther apart. The only thing you have to fabricate is the cross braces. I made my own out of stainless and had them buffed to look like chrome. I spoke with National cycle and was told you can order just the hardware from them. Tell them you need all the straps and brackets and reference #N2211. They are $50.00 . Anyone who wants to see pics of mine send me an email to melandfred@charter.net . Hope this saves someone from a big pain in the ass. National cycle can be reached at nationalcycle.com or 877-972-7336 or 708-343-0400 . Fred[/img]

I'll buy a set off ya Thrillseeker, and I don't run a windshield,
but you never know, I might someday....
Now that that's out of the way, two things.
1) Welcome aboard
2) Are you going to ride with us to Maggie Valley in May?

I have a windshield from my 07 rocket classic 19 1/2" from top to bottom (in between two head lamps). its totally plain w/o any metal. i think it is in good shape but would have to wash to make sure. has hair line cracks (like you see on glasses when left in sun) at the very bottom mounting hole. i would sell for $250 plus shipping. i have a business so i could take credit card or check.

Pictures of them (your bracket you are making out of S/S) when you have made them will be good might even buy some myself to replace the the triumph chrome and black set up

Count me in if they are well made and not over the top expensive. It's a pain in the a$$ swapping the hardware between my short and tall screens ... then again i could just make my mind up which screen i want to run and stop ginning round with two of them :D

yeah I have the same delimma but I chose to leave the fly screen on for the trip to the Phillip Island Worlds SBK Races and remembered halfway there why I like the Touring screen on for long hours in saddle (9 1/2 hrs) but for trips arond the inside 200km's the fly screen is also good

Forgot .. i've got a f#ckin flyscreen downstairs too .. that's three to choose from. Tis little wonder i'm perpetually confused :D... Anyone want to buy a flyscreen ??

Sorry but i'm no longer a potential customer .. picked up another windscreen yesterday. Going to rat the brackets off it ... they are off to powdercoaters for a satin-blacking ;) still got a flyscreen if anyone wants to buy one.
