I earned my Class B LSR license this weekend with a pass of 174.94747 MPH on my SC R3. I believe this is the fastest speed ever achieved by a Rocket 3, albeit modified.

My thanks to the following friends and companies, that helped me achieve this goal:

Neville Lush; Neville Lush Racing
Gary Turner & Blackstone Tek
Philippe Danh; Beringer USA
Richard Albans; TTS
Jerry, Dylan, and Jamison; Cycle Solutions
Wayne Dassele; Dragline708

More photos to follow tomorrow.

Congrats!

I just knew that Beast couldn't do 175.LOL Wow, what a rush that must be. Do you do a couple of passes and they take an average, or is it a one shot deal? What next, Bonneville?

You misunderstand LSR competition, Snuff. Until I demonstrated a controlled pass of 175 MPH, ECTA will not let me run up to 200 MPH (Class B). Bad Hombre got more... I was not on the limiter.

My first pass was 126.72594 MPH (Class D License 125MPH target speed).

Second pass 148.34127 MPH (Class C License 150 MPH target speed).

Third pass 174.94747 MPH (Class B License 175 MPH target speed).

You must demonstrate a controlled pass of + or - 5MPH of target speed to earn the license. Plenty of Busa Boys blew it by passing +10 MPH too slow!
