Supercharged
Alright, the bike was dropped off at Carpenter Racing on Saturday. I decided to go all in for the 240+ kit (I guess REALLY all in would have been the 270+ but the 240 is already well over my budget).
The filters will go on when I pick up the bike either this weekend or next.
Hanso THANK YOU for pointing out the need for a support strap. I have parts in hand and will fab up a simple bar and strap much like what you showed in your post. I do have a little concern about moisture entering the system, since I ride in some pretty nasty weather. Did you take any measures to keep water off the filters in downpours or have you found it to be a non-issue? I don't want to come out to a parking lot and find my engine full of rain water.
They will be testing the build with and without the Reband baffle installed, and I'll have to decide exactly how loud I'm willing to let the bike roar. I don't mind the noise, but I don't like flashing lights and expensive noise violation tickets. I don't think she'd be any louder unbaffled than the Brute would be, and I haven't heard too many reports of tickets going to the guys running them, so we'll just have to see.

You wont regret getting the RX-4040-1 filters it is what I run and love them but make sure you make a strap to secure them as I did in this thread -- http://www.r3owners.net/threads/bigger-is-better.12381/
