Hi everyone,
following a motorcycle accident in July, I am currently rebuilding my Rocket III Touring piece by piece. Unfortunately, I have found that some of the original parts I still need are becoming very difficult to find. Some are no longer available from Triumph at all, while others are almost impossible to find new or – particularly in the case of a complete fuel tank – have reached prices that make rebuilding the bike considerably more difficult.
Perhaps someone here still has one of these parts sitting on a shelf or in the garage, knows of a breaker, or knows of a Touring that is currently being dismantled for parts.
The bike:
Important: This is specifically a Rocket III Touring, not a Classic, Roadster, R, or the newer 2,500 cc Rocket 3.
I am currently looking for the following four parts:
1. Left-hand auxiliary/fog light
2. Passenger backrest pad
3. Complete left-hand pannier
4. Complete fuel/petrol tank
I would be especially grateful for any leads on a good used fuel tank, old dealer stock, or a donor/breaking bike, as a suitable new tank – if one can be found at all – quickly becomes painfully expensive.
For all four items, I am happy to consider new parts, NOS/old stock, or good to very good used parts. I am definitely not looking for museum-condition parts. Normal signs of use are perfectly acceptable; however, broken, cracked, badly damaged, or repairable-only parts will unfortunately not help me.
If anyone has any of these parts lying around, or knows of a Rocket III Touring being broken for parts or used as a donor bike, I would be very grateful to hear from you. Leads to dealers or parts located abroad are also very welcome.
Photos, asking price, and location would be greatly appreciated. Shipping to Germany is of course also an option.
I would really love to find the remaining pieces and get the big British lady back on the road and complete again after the accident.
Many thanks for any help or leads!
Best regards,
Wolfgang

The bike:
- Triumph Rocket III Touring 2300
- Model year: 2011
- First registered: 31 August 2011
- Non-ABS model
- VIN: SMTC05LR09J377098
- VIN ending: 377098
Important: This is specifically a Rocket III Touring, not a Classic, Roadster, R, or the newer 2,500 cc Rocket 3.
I am currently looking for the following four parts:
1. Left-hand auxiliary/fog light
- Triumph part number: A9930131
- Auxiliary Lamp / LH Auxiliary Lamp
- I particularly need the left-hand auxiliary light, although I would also consider a pair
- New, NOS, or good used condition
2. Passenger backrest pad
- Triumph part number: A9708240
- Passenger Touring Backrest Pad
- I am looking for the backrest pad/cushion only, not the pillion seat and not the complete seat
- New, NOS, or good used condition
3. Complete left-hand pannier
- Original Triumph Rocket III Touring
- Left-hand side of the bike
- Complete, including the correct lid
- Mounting points must be intact
- Normal light signs of use are absolutely fine
4. Complete fuel/petrol tank
- Must fit a 2011 Rocket III Touring / VIN ending 377098
- A good used tank would be absolutely fine
- Light signs of use are no problem
- Please no tanks with major dents, leaks, or significant damage requiring repair
