TTS Supercharger Kits

TTS forgot to mention the use of the bottom tap in the instructions but that is why 2 taps are supplied
in the kit.

Trying to work out how the new clutch lifter piece is fitted,no mention in the instruction.

TTS forgot to mention a lot of things

I reckon you're confused because you have the old style roller thrust bearing and lifter piece that Triumph discontinued - perhaps TTS only do one lifter piece and it's for the newer pressure plate. With a ball bearing.

What is the diameter of the bore in your pressure plate?
Both the hole through the middle and the lip the OEM bearing sits against

Also diameter of your TTS piece

You should get hold of Richard and let him know you have the old style lifter piece and pressure plate. Might be a different piece or you have to change pressure plate styles.
Same plate, just bored for a roller bearing versus spot faced for yours. He probably needs to refine the directions some -- from the point of view of a non-machinist. Starting plug, and bottoming taps are as normal as putting nut on a bolt -- like knowing .3 multiplied by the drill bit diameter will give you the depth of the drill point.

I'm pretty sure there is a center mark on the end of the crank. "IF" there was not, a jig could be fabricated to bolt on the front of the block, and with a lathe tool, you could cut a center line taper, "WITH" the engine running!;):p:eek::rolleyes::roll::laugh::sneaky:
