It's a bummer that the seat has to come off to install the backrest but it's a pretty quick job.

I just bolted in the Triumph backrest for the Triumph touring seat. It's a ten minute job as the seat must be taken off and reinstalled and there are four bolts that hold the backrest to a bracket deep in the seat. Its a well made and sturdy design, much better than I expected. The backrest adjusts to five or six positions by a wheel that revolves with your finger, the wheel does not show. I cant explain it but its a completely different design adjuster than ANYTHING I've seen before and I was impressed. I sat on the bike and adjusted the rest to a sweet spot, I think I really like this Long Haul Seat and Backrest. I now have a new Gel Seat and a new stock seat that I would give someone a good deal on if they need either. PM me if interested, otherwise they go in my storage for the eventual day that I need one.
