Foglight (Highway light) bulb replacement

I hope that doesn't cause issues down the line, all the power is funneled through the keyswitch. You can do a search here for "ignition issues" and find people who - over time - have had their keyswitches fail, leaving them stranded. The Eastern Beaver relay and bypass would give you even more light (as you'd draw power directly from the battery, no voltage drop) and also go around the keyswitch which may or may not fail down the line otherwise. Probably worth $50 and an hour's easy work.
 
Sounds like a plan. I'll probably upgrade with a kit like the one from Eastern Beaver eventually.
 

You installed 100wt bulbs in your auxiliary/foglights? I went from 35wt to 55wt and after a few years it fried the wiring. I'm quite surprised you've made so long without failure.

Whoa, I think I've been misled. Both of my fog lights have died since I got my '14 R3T and the dealer replaced under warranty without issue; needed to wait for lights to come in though. I was told they are some sort of "sealed unit" and that the entire housing had to be replced at $95 each or so; if I didn't have the warranty. So if you have swapped them out simply with the buld replacement, I must have misunderstood what the dealer told me.

Jag: Can you provide the PIAA part numbers? A couple of web sites say this is not a fit for the R3T.

Though by the time you've "mentally spent" about $150 on PIAA bulbs the step from there to $360-ish for a full set of Truck-lite Phase 7 LEDs with reflectors and all isn't far.

I tried that math formula with my wife. Did not work
