2020 R3 GT
I'm in the US and purchased a 2020 R3 GT. Sold my 2005 R3. Love this bike!

Dealer here wants $180 us for oil change and $90 to reset the light. F-that!

I did search and see that TuenECU and Dealer Tool from the UK work for resetting the light.

I have an original version of TuneECU on a PC (I'm an Apple guy) that I can't get connected to the bike.

I'm thinking about buying the Dealer Tool since I don't own an Android phone.

Question: Once you pay for the Dealer Tool, will you simply download software on a PC and hook up to the bike? Or is there more to it?

I have a USB/OBDII cable that worked with my 2005 R3.

Thanks in advance for helping me save some hard earned money.

I've only read about TuneEcu, never used it, but I think the bike has to be registered to TuneEcu to use it?
Clearing the service light was one of the reasons I brought my scan tool, I don't live near any dealers so have to do everything myself. $90 to clear & reset that is a complete rip off (IMO) You can buy a specific Triumph scan tool that does that for about $300 - $400 USD. Someone on here the other day was selling their brand new one for $260 - he'd done what he wanted to - coded some new keys to the ECU with it & didn't want it any more.

For my money, get a scan tool, hell, even if you do nothing else with it after 4 years it's paid for itself.
