I am wanting to purchase a set of heated gloves for 1 of my boys that rides year round. It was about 15F this morning and he is riding his bike to work. About 15 miles one way.
How many guys have heated gloves and is there a brand thats better than others?? I am looking at the G3 Gerbings but not all the reviews I have read are all good.
Hoping some of you die hard riders can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Big T

T I thought you had the heated grips? It's got to be awful cold for them not to work for me. I mean so cold that I need a heated electric vest .... I want one for x-mas.

That makes me wonder which is better for really cold rides.... grips or gloves?

Hmmm

Really? I might have to try that then. I even have those perpetually cold hands that NEVER warm up and stay white in cool temps. The heated grips do a good job with gloves appropriate for the weather. I don't yet have anything electrically heated in the garment dept., but am looking.
Nice to know.

I agree. The coldest weather we have here is around 25 degrees (it was 26 this morning, brrrrrr!). I've been told by everyone I know that has heated grips that they do not work well at those temps, or even in the low 30s. Most folks I know with heated grips also use heated gloves or have the quilt lined overcoat looking things that attach to the bars and you stick your hands in.

I haven't had the bike out in cold weather yet, but I have had the heated grips on in 45 degrees and they were too hot for me. So maybe the heated gloves will work better in colder temps.

T,
Went for a ride Sunday evening to Bartlesville,
low 30's starting out, high to mid 20's on the return trip.
Sure was wishing I had something.
Fingertips were white, I'm thinking some heated clothes would be nice about now..
Gloves at least..
Ride safe bro,
skip
