@Wrecka you might want to put 2 cable ties around the Ramair and the throttle bodies just to be sure it stays there. I found it a bit tricky to get it to stay on.

I had read this in another post just before I installed mine. It took a while to make sure the RamAir filter was seated squarely across all 3 throttle bodies. Once it was squared there was no problem keeping it on.

After I got mine to to stay on it was ok but the cable ties just give me confidence it is not going to pop off.

Ok today has been a busy day:
Got Avon Cobra fitted on front
Installed Ramair

Taking the bullsheep plastic bits out was a drama at 1st , i had a brain fart and was about to start chopping off fuel hoses but rang Hanso first and he set me straight , sorry for sounding like a grumpy prick mate , i tend to get frustrated easily when mechanical things do my head in. The only drama i had after that was removing the gadget that attached to the air intake , has a vacum hose and cable attached to it , i couldnt get the hex bolt out so i just hacksawed the thing of , woops.

When tryin to fit the Ramair the thing kept popping off until i realized you need to align the screws on the clamps so they are totally free from any sort of obstruction or touching any object . So then did the Bruce fix and zip tied them in,

Secondly who the **** thinks putting that engine breather filter on is a Cnt of a job ???? My fat hands had no chance of fitting in there , so i compressed the filter as flat as possible and taped it down , then i taped a long flat bladed screwdriver on top of it and maneuvered it into place using a second flat screwdriver while holding a small torch in my mouth !!! Once there i used a ring spanner positioned behind the clamp screw so it wouldnt keep pushing away while i tightened it , once tight i used the screw driver to carefully remove the tape and let the filter open up.

Run a 12 min tune , uploaded the Hanso map , reset TPS then another 12 min tune , started stitching her up as far as refitting the bear claw , thats where im having issues, the claw wont seat over the Ramair properly and keeps popping off the top rubber mount , is there somthing im missing here ?

Syncd the throttle bodies as well , they were out a good deal , running smoother now

The claw on mine has always been a bit dodgy on the rubber mount at the top, sort of drops down and doesn't touch the rubber mounts at all. I just tighten the screws up and don't worry about it. Hasn't fallen off yet.

Yeah thats exactly what its doing Bruce , just annoying me knowing it's not lining up correctly , im must be OCD , ill have another look tomorrow maybe if i see where it's touching i can slightly squish the filter in a bit.... Keen to get it out for a test run , any car/bike shows on tomorrow mate ?

You did well to get the crankcase breather fitted. My Aussie-sized hands wouldn't fit in to that British-sized crevice either. I waited a couple of weeks until I was at the mechanic to get the GPS replaced. I got them to fit it. They employ mechanics with special shaped hands to get in to British and Japanese crevices.

Got a question not really related to the thread. Is the RamAir filter interchangeable between the Roadster and Touring models? Same filter for both?

Thx
