I have a touring but wasn't a fan of the floorboards. I'm too used to pegs. So I started swapping parts with another user, and I took my first ride today on them. It's great!
Here's what you need to swap:
Floorboard rail with three bolts up front and two in back.
I am on the GT. Almost 6,000km done and I love the forward controls (closest position). Except when doing 160 Km/h and above when I am kinda fighting to my feet on the peg.
Anyone thought of putting just one peg at the mid (R) position? would be great to from time to time bring the feet back.
For what are you waiting ?

Hey, fellas! So my R3R came with the FC17 forward controls. I like them ok (they are all I know) but it’s slightly awkward for me to depress the brake due to the mini floorboards and all my weight is on my hind end. I’d like to add crash bars, but I can’t with the FC17 kit. With all of this...
Should I use a rubber gasket or bicycle innertube piece under the clamp. It seems like just bolting those things right on the chrome bars would surely scratch them up or at least I probably would.
Just getting the bike back on the road after a year (leg surgery), haven't been on here in awhile...

So, after I get my seat sorted on my '18 R3R, I may need to do something with the footpegs. The bike has a very cramped riding position for me (6'6", 34" inseam) as the distance between the stock seat and stock pegs is too short. As with every other bike I own, I'll have to modify the beast to...
