TOR'S tune??

Actually Nolton, I was saying hurry up and get the triples. :D Pulling secondaries and installing triples is about a 20 min job - mostly removing stuff and being careful.
If I could get there in Feb I would be there in Feb. Home cooking a bonus (I presume....).

So secondaries stay in unless I use tripple filters?
Which one of you men are coming over to help me do all this????:D\
Looks like a February job.
Free home cooking!!!!!!!!!
To put simple if you are not going to go for triple K&N's and sticking to under seat air K&N cleaner (which I might add is a restrictive waste of time as there is not going to be a large improvement in air flow)you can just using TuneECU to set your Secondaries to 100% open across the board, I did this for "The Kiwi" a while back and he noticed an improvement in bottom end power and a lot smother in thelow rev bottom end as well, but You will not get as large an improvement as when you shed all that restrictive plastic pipework and go the K&N's, there should be someone near you that can bring along a laptop and cable to fix the secondaries for you if you decide not to go the triples.
another by product of going for the triple K&N's is that you will be able to get to stuff under your tank and surrounds;)

Is there a specific tune for TOR'S or should I just let the dealer install what they have?

I've got TORs on my 2008 R3 classic and I let him install the latest tune. I didn't notice a huge difference in power, but definitely didn't notice any unwarranted performance. The pipes weren't very loud at all initially, but have since gotten louder as I've broken them in. I'm not sure what to attribute that to, but I'd caution anyone to give the TORs a few weeks before you opt for the cat bypass. I was immediately going to have him do the cat bypass but am glad I waited. I get hardly any decel popping and it's a nice sound level for me. I def wouldn't want to go louder at this point, but again... it definitely does seem louder than it did right after install. I'm happy with it and the looks but will be keeping my cat box.

Since you have TORs/cat bypass with under seat filter, which you should change to a K&N filter, why don't you get connected with Tune ECU and try a custom tune by Wayne Tripp for that exhaust:

Power-TrippR3 TORS underseat.hex

http://www.tomhamburg.net/Tunes_in_...et/RocketIII/Power-TrippR3 TORS underseat.zip

Compare with your current tune. Then decide where to go.

I don't see any other custom tunes for that exhaust with triple filters other than one from Tuneboy and in that case, the filters are Unifilters, not K&N. I've done the K&N mod and didn't think this tune was optimal so I pulled them off.

There is a tuneboy tune that was developed by Blastedbones. It is for individual K&N's cat delete and Maddog exhaust. It also works just fine with tors. I have been running it for a couple years now. As have several others. Really wakes it up. Plus it leans out a little at cruising speed for better fuel economy. On long trips with gear and my sweetie I can get in the mid to high 30's (mpg). That of course is riding like an old man !

Hanso, I would be interested in that one as well if you don't mind.

yeah you just reminded me I have that also it is a good tune and both have their advantages:D

Sorry that I haven't had much to say on the advice that has been posted.
I have been working excessive amounts of overtime lately and have more to go.

Let me explain what I am trying to do.
I just want a tune for TORS with cat bypass for changing the sound of the bike. I'm not looking for faster or more torque. I like long rides not races.
I would like to be able to do a 16 hour iron butt again is so inclined without having to worry about the bike getting too hot.
So that said, if TORS are the wrong thing for me to use please let me know.

power and speed will come with the Tors,it is a by product, that doesn't mean you have to use it. A decent tune will do it all and give you the best efficency as well as well as make the bike smoother and better to ride remember the power only comes on as You twist the throttle:D
