In the end I will probably make my decision on the fact that I prefer to ride far more than turn wrenches...which probably means the bike will be going to NJ at some point
Is there any particular reason that the graph starts at circa 3,000rpm rather that 1,500 or even 2,000? There is a lot of riding done in that range on a daily basis and I would hate to think that it wasn't tuned from a fast idle all the way to the top.
Very good question! A lot of the rags only publish 3000 - redline dynos as well for some reason, as though every zooms around right on peak torque/hp all day long.
Idle - Redline graphs or none should be the standard in the industry. The selective graphs are deceiving and only help to highlight top end power but show very little of what a bike is actually like to ride on the street.
Side note: Shipping from Oahu -> San Diego $509 each way, then 400-600 from SD to NJ each way. So right around 2 grand to ship from here to Carp and back :/
BOB will never start a dyno pull at idle or very low rpm just the same as you wouldnt wack the throttle wide open if your riding your bike on the street at idle or very low rpm
