So I think I want a blower on my Rocket

I'd certainly want one, though, I doubt many people would really want that much power when really put to the decision.

On a serious note, have you guys tried pairing an aerocharger with the 240/270 kit yet for a street bike?
WELL the AEROCHARGER is a nice turbo for the smaller engines as they spool up quickly but we dont need that with the 2300cc Rocket engines we dont want them to come on that fast it makes them harder to control

I think you get a good one or you don't, regardless of power levels. I talked to Bob today, he's willing to do my transmission, happy day. The ballpark number he gave me was even lower than what my dealer wanted, and his price included undercutting the gears.

I asked about a turbo, he's considering it but doesn't have his game plan together yet, he thinks it will be dead of winter before he does anything with it. I was considering upgrading to the 270 hp package while he had it, but I think I'm going to wait for the turbo and see what happens. Someone on the Rocket FB page had the 270 package, they said" imagine 30 more hp than yours" (mine), but their dyno sheet only showed 263 hp and 185 ft lbs (don't know what filter they're running, but I've not seen anyone else use the 1770s like I do), vs my 241 and 184, I'm thinking more bang for the buck with the turbo.

Started looking at some turbos for the first time in a few years because of this thread, there have been some rather intersting developments at what is available in a reasonably priced turbo. None of it is really new, but the prices on some things have dropped a lot.

These seem like they might match up really well to an R3 :p Infact, after plotting it, its a **** near perfect match for an R3.

Paired with (personal experiece, these are amazing):

Would give huge flexibility with boost by gear, boost ramping (avoids abrupt boost spikes), and some other very cool features.
