Has anyone tried the Rumble Road Ultra speakers that are amplified for your ipod or cd player? I am thinking about ordering a pair but wanted a review from someone.

thanks

I should have a review of the J&M Audio amplified speakers in a day or two. I ordered them with the intent of playing my IPOD through them. The J&M's are kinda pricey but I've heard good things about them. I guess I'll find out.

I use the set from motorcycletunes they are a bit cheaper than any I have seen and put out a fierce amount of sound. with any speakers that have the amp inside the speaker if one goes its no good with the ones I have I mounted the separate amp under the left side cover

for the price of the J&M I could have had 3 sets of the ones I have I am wondering how 40w will do the set I have is 100w per speaker at 90+ mph I can hear them with a full face on

I'm glad you're happy with what you have.:)

I did not mean to down them in any way I was just shocked at the price I am sure they will be great
No harm...No Foul.
Actually, I wish I had discussed this with someone prior to ordering a set. Am not familiar with the brand you have. Sounds like they are awesome. The J&M's are the only brand that I have heard in person (my brother had an un-amplified set on his Valkyrie) and they sound pretty good. :D

as long as you enjoy them its good enough for me after all they are better and safer than head phones now the question have you considered sat radio I have had it on every bike from day one and love it

Funny you should mention satellite radio....I have been thinking about that but have no knowledge of what I need or what's available. I would like to get something that can be used on the bike, car, and truck. Any suggestions ?
Thanks.

here is exactly what I did for the r3t I wanted to spend the least I could to get it on the bike. The first thing I did was add a lighter plug where the power socket can be fitted by the left side cover, that covers the power to the unit. after hooking up the amp I added a water proof switch on the down tube right beside the plug for the amp, I am not concerned about cutting off the player I just pull it off the dock to cut it off. I went ahead and got a cheap receiver they all come with a sticky mount that I mounted to the left hand side of the tank about mid way up now there will be 3 cables coming from the dock power, antenna and a inline volume control. the volume control is just a small cable that you can get at radio shack it has a little turn nob on it to adjust the volume. I went ahead and got a pack of sticky wire clamps and placed those on the tank to rout the cables as well as hold the volume knob where I could get to it with my left hand at the base of the tank . I tucked all the extra cables under the left side cover and ran the antenna under the seat strap you may have to play around with the antenna a bit to get it good. the only other thing you will need to take it between the truck and bike is another car kit and thats it.

Thanks. I hope to receive my speakers today via UPS. I already have my IPOD mounted on the handlebars. I'm headed to the city this Saturday and hope to shop for a sattelite receiver then.
