NEW and have some tuning questions....

I am considering a brand new Rocket Roadster or Rocket Touring. I'd prefer the Touring but I really want the power and torque of the Roadster! Can the Touring model be tuned to have the same powerband and performance of the Roadster or are the engines physically different (cams,intake etc.) ?? I just want the comfort but I don't want to lose the power! My previous bike was an 04 Vulcan 2000 and I always like more power and torque rather than less!!

It's all in the tune and exhaust system.. Other than that, the engines are mechanically the same.

So I could re-tune the Touring and get the numbers up to the roadster numbers? What tuning device would be best to do this?

Some of the touring guys are getting Jardines and using TuneECU software (freeware) and the $20 cable but to get most you should also consider changing to triple K&N filters

you're gonna be on a smaller tire.....

Plenty of guys have got extra out of their Tourings. Bonecarver is one who was very happy with what he did with his. Drop him a line, perhaps.

I thought the touring model had a different cam setup for more low end torque and less higher end.

Nope, strictly the tune, all engine parts are the same
