The graph I put up shows me getting nearly 160hp before the cam and pistons. I was also informed my fuel mix and tune (or lack of) made my bike run poorly as I never done any adjustments after the exhaust install (Rebands + Ramair) so with a good tune maybe I might have got closer to the 170hp?? It would be interesting what extra HP I could have got with just a set of cams, I will never know unless I see a similar setup minus the pistons.

This one here with the cams?

I think NO cams in this dyno by Fred Procycle.

Thanks Mittzy.
Me thinks Fred Procycle needs to calibrate his dyno.
I have serious doubts - could be wrong - but my dyno guy agrees.
He just shrugs it off saying dyno to dyno is BS anyway and it's all really about comparison numbers between before and after.

@Scorp
Would you please post your "before" initial pull graph from this dyno?

My numbers are below with small tripple K&N's and Reband then dyno tuned- i could have got better with better filtration.. I will never run without filters.

This was the dyno run before I had the motor pulled apart for cam, pistons and second gear update kit put in. Dave done numerous runs as you can see on every setting of the GiPro as he was curious if it made any difference. Best was almost 160. This is without any tune after exhaust was changed. I do still recall all my HP records with all my changes. First time I took in the bike I had Staintune exhaust with crossover and it was 126hp. I then had the guy fit triple pods and it was then 137hp untuned, 142hp with a tune. I then fitted the GiPro, removed secondaries, put Ramair and Reband exhaust, Almost 160hp untuned. Next was cams and pistons, just over 200hp, was told this setup is usually 203hp but I lost a couple of hp

due to the larger rear tyre (Excedra Max). Hope this gives a few people a ball park with mods when it comes to HP.

@Scorp
Thanks for posting this, Mate!
Makes sense and clears up a lot for me.
Your post actually reads like an answer to Mr. Lush's question about 200 HP with only cams, air and headers.

From my experience, you would need to squeeze out about 30hp with cams. Maybe the Brute exhaust which flows more free, no filter for maximum flow you would reduce that but I honestly don't know what a cam is capable of, maybe a full race cam would achieve this? Only the guys who deal with them would know to what extreme you can achieve.
