Personally I find the big deal to be the mean piston speed at 9000 RPM. It comes in around 28 meters a second. Not saying there is or isn't a reliability issue with that, but it's a very high piston speed for a bike many want/expect to last for years to come. At 7500 it's right around 25 m/s, still higher than any production bike, including the S1000RR.

Personally, I am not comfortable taking a daily driven bike and raising redline to a point where piston speeds exceed that of many drag cars. Especially when there is so much torque that can be had lower down.

Thing to remember is that drag racing is not the ultimate measure for many people, for myself and many it is only another data point, like a dyno.

Anyways, that is why I was asking about 200hp no later than 7000 rpm, for streetability and accessibility of torque at sane speeds.

Parachute would be disastrous. Definitely a drag chute is in order.

But, also, in the real world, how long would anyone spend at top RPM whether that's close to 7,000 revs or 9,000, especially on public thoroughfares?

IF thats what you want then you should leave your bike stock as a stock Rocket has all the power you need to do what you want

You are delusional if you think you know what other people want.
We all want different things including hp and torque.
Just saying.

You really do live in a sheltered and insular world IFT if you think that what you want is the best thing for everybody else, and that anybody who wants something different is either not all there or not a real man - because your last posts certainly suggest that.

Exactly, that's what some are saying, they don't need a million rpm with their riding style.
