When I hand non brand specific bars, I used bar end mirror mounts for universal 1" bars and switched to round bar end mirrors.

Is this the case if I also change the grips too? Like the ISOs for instance?

Here is a bargain Chinese made (as are Kurykyn as well) ISO copy with the throttle boss and correct throttle cable fittings .

The fitment tool says this doesn't fit my 2016 R3R ABS. Do you think it's because of the dual throttle cables?

It is a dual throttle cable set up (see photo below) and should be same as our Rockets. As they specifically listed it for the Rocket if it doesn't fit just get a refund though eBay as an incorrect listing. Triumphs are metric like Jap bikes and Rockets have 1" bars so it should be fine.

Often folks have to remove/cut out the plastic cable nipple holder tube from their stock grips to fit aftermarket grips anyway as they often do not come with the throttle cable tube. Do NOT cut the end off your stock one you need the tube underneath the grip rubber as well. Also do NOT do it until you know it is needed and then just slash the grip rubber and peel off.

Depends. The bike you showed had bar end mirrors fitted - easier with stock grips and actually easier with non standard bars. Options abound.
If you fit closed end grips then you don't need bar plugs. The question is DO YOU WANT THE WEIGHTS - THEY DO HELP WITH VIBRATION.

I'm pretty sure you can remove the bolt on caps and fit bar end weights (not the stock ones they need the internal fixed threaded bung as stated earlier) or bar end mirrors. May have to lose the throttle boss though. the grip design will minimise vibration anyway and the Rocket is not a big buzzer anyway. I've run aftermarket grips w/o weights on my 1.5" Thunderbike T bars since I have had it without noticing any vibration at all.

Currently have Oxford cruiser heated grips which similarly allow the caps to be removed and bar end weights or mirrors to be fitted. Just picked up some NOS bar end blinkers for AUD$21.60 (US$16) delivered that I will probably never use but you never know.
