You are a canny scot !

Joey, this is not the "end" of you, but it is a big bend in the road. Think of it as turning a page in life, beginning a new chapter or acquiring a new book.

Clint Eastwood said it best; "A man's got to know his limitations."

Meanwhile, please do be aggressive about ferreting out the reason(s) for these random, but repetitive losses of motor function/consciousness. That is not a symptomology to be trifled with.

If you do not have a sensation of falling it may be vestibular, and would not be that uncommon at a certain age. But by all means let the Doctor figure it out....he may have a groovy pill for you!

I do not think I pass out...but I do not ever have the sensation of falling.....and I do not feel the impact of hitting the ground with my body.
First thing I remember is I am on the ground and pain from where my knee has impacted the concrete.

2 guys saw me go down the last time I fell...They said my right leg just gave way and I went straight down on to that knee and rolled to the right. I never used my hands to try to catch myself during that fall. They also said I responded as soon as they asked if I was OK...
Hitting my knee that hard hurt like crazy.....but in a few min. my big toe's main joint hurt worse, it was like it had been bent way to far and hurt for 2 weeks.

I went to see my doctor and they are looking at what needs to be checked out...........I do have heart problems and PAD and PVD.

Yes I still have my beloved Rocket III

These are old pictures

OK my friend. This sounds like a true drop attack. This is most often cause by lack of flow to the back of the brain via the vertebral arteries. In many cases one of the arteries that feeds the arm, the subclavian artery, which also feeds the vertebral artery, which feeds the back of the brain, is severely narrowed. As a result the brain suffers vertebrobasilar insufficiency causing the drop attacks. This is easily diagnosed by taking bilateral arm blood pressure measurements and a carotid artery ultrasound exam. Many doctor miss this obvious and common problem. If you have not had a carotid ultrasound exam you should. If the tech does not measure your arm pressures in both arms before starting, ask him or her to do so, carefully. Many competent techs miss this common pathology. You don't need to have PVD or heart problems. If this is the case the problem can be cured by any competent vascular surgeon of which there are many in Florida. Good luck.

One of the gents at this past summer's RAA was in a Slingshot. He kept watch over us from the back of the traveling circus and had just as much fun.

That was Jesse. He had a stroke 10 years ago that forced his early retirement from the PD and also took him off two wheels.
Jesse worked hard, learned to walk again and still enjoying the wind!

I will write some of the medical info that was provided......of coarse I did not understand a single word of it..LOL

Mulley did say he thought my Rocket was quicker than his Roadster....but I thought he was just being polite at the time he came to my house and took it for a ride, AND I do not just let anyone ride my bike...Loaning my bike is like loaning my girlfriend.....Only if I know you will treat her with the respect she deserves.

As for a trike.......I went that route about 3 years ago...and lost about $5,000.00 in that venture. Only kept it 3 months. Absolutely the worse thing I have ever bought. If you truly love a motorcycle riding a trike is like trying to stay on top of a over inflated beach ball.

Yes a soup up little sports car would have been great......but after the big SNAFU on the trike I wasn't sure about anything.

Oh..........I hated I missed ya'll up at Pilot Mountain this year. I did want to come so bad............Heck I do not even know if it was held or not....

Aug. 12, I did one of my new tricks in the yard and hit a home made paver.....this one hurt ............39 stiches in my upper lip and 2 teeth broken off at the gum line and one hanging by a piece of meat. I wound up getting the front 4 teeth replaced.......I just got the replacement bridge about 2 weeks ago... I did not know I was so vain ......stayed at home ...with the exceptions of going to the dentist.

Here are some pictures of the trike I bought.....The pictures of the trike is in my fishing buddy garage.......Mulley has been to my home so he knows that it is not at my house

the last 2 pic. are at my house

Joey, sorry to hear of your health issues. I agree with the others. I'd take that beautiful gray Rocket (I've seen it in person, and it's gorgeous !) and trike it. It would be blasphemy to part out a perfectly fine Rocket. Or, sell it to some deserving soul. It's a shame the resale value is so low on them. Once again we have Triumph to thank for that. Going on 12 years and most people in the world have never heard of one, much less bought one. The sports car idea isn't bad either. No way this is the end of you. Looking at the bigger picture, when the day comes you can't get on a trike or in a car, there are still still a lot of things to do in this modern world to entertain yourself and keep your mind sharp. It's gonna happen to all of us. You just gotta play the cards you've been dealt and be happy you at least got some cards :)
