So back to reality.... had the 500 mile done today. All synthetic. Hitting 5K now -- what a kick. Coming home (er, back to work) I noticed that I was going up a pretty steep hill at 80, rolled the throttle and wham, up she went..... IN 5TH GEAR. Gads I love this bike.

just a quick note on the jet bike. iirc there is a 1-2 second lag between when you let off the throttle and when it stops accelerating. this could become a big problem. i think the lag is for accelerating too. 1-2 sec between when you wrap it around and when it freaking takes off

Jet bike comment: "Spooling up" always has a bit of a time lag. For that reason, I'm guessing, in current turbine configuration it would not make a very road compatible bike. Maybe we could just put an afterburner on our Rockets.
