I understand that Triumph made a odd size of rims and tires making no options to get more cool looking rims.
The Suzuki 109 has a 240 tire on the back and it's shaft drive why can't we get the custom size rims and tires front and back and put them on the Rocket?
Or what do you need to do in changes to make it fit?
Is it possible?
And if so what needs to be done?

I reckon anything is possible.....especially with custom motorcycle wheels...they are made, but they are some kind of expensive. FWIW, the Rocket rear wheel is quite wide as it is and can accommodate at least one or two darkside tires. I reckon it's not so much what the wheels will accept, it's at least as much about what you can stuff under the fenders!

I'm not asking for a wider tire.
The Suzuki 109 is also a 240 back tire as well as a shaft drive my question is why can't the rims and tires fit on the Rocket so we can have the same choices of rims as the 109?

The Rocket Roadster wheel sizes are VERY limiting for tires, especially if you prefer to match two of the same brand and model!
Me thinks 18" front and back would be the best set-up; however the BST are WAAAAAAAAAAAY SPENDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
$3,600.00 USD for BST wheels!!!

Well, the axle shaft size might be different for one thing. And even if they could use the triumph axle the drive hub is liable to be completely different. But again there's the custom route....whatever you like about a given wheel of any kind could be adapted to a custom wheel that does fit your Rocket.

If you just look at it from a better look aspect it might seem expensive. But considering that rotating weight is enhanced 7 times, it's a hp gain too. An old dyno guy I know, said that the sport bikes he's tuned that switch to carbon fiber rims gain 10 hp. Considering the weight lost from our huge rims plus a tire that's a way lower profile (lighter also), you'd probably get close to 15 hp over stock. Add to that, people who've done it, say the lighter weight makes it much more nimble. It's 3 upgrades in one.

iirc Scott had custom rims made up using the original hub.

Taylor-made wheels in the UK has the R3 hubs done. Taylor-Made Wheels - Custom Engineering, Big Wheels for Bikes - BUT the spokes etc are NOT homologated for road use - The rims are. I talked to him about going narrower - to use rubber for things like 'busas. Though he patterned up for WIDE rims. Not cheap but cheaper than Blackstone-Tek CF. Best Carbon Fiber Wheels by Blackstone Tek the leaders in Carbon Fiber Composite Worldwide

CF wheels look great and are without any doubt great on the track. But they chip easily - and once they do, they are weakened. imho - for road use anywhere that has grit/stones/small animals - they are an accident waiting to happen. I seem to have read of several issues. Didn't "BlastedBones" break a couple?

@Claviger - I have a spare set of rims. Good 190-200 17" Z rated rubber on the rear and the beastie will most certainly be better in the bends. LOAD rating however could become an issue.

Even at best it would not be a easy task. Harleys even with there huge aftermarket supplies still can lead to a lot of headaches and heartaches when refitting a bike with custom rims. Spacers, pulley location and so forth can really become a headache. Even on the so called direct fit rims can sometimes be not so direct. I guess it could be done but I would be very carefull.
