I know Skip, Jay or Wendy do not cover any part of the bike and that includes soap and water:D the cover I have is a $25 wallyworld special has lasted quite a few years but the only time my bike is away from its bed is when I travel.
A pal of mine back home spent 200 pounds on a top notch cover one time used it twice then someone nicked it(stole) so after that he just bought the cheap ones.

Im not looking for a high priced cover. Just something that will last at least 2 years or more.
May have to climb the mountain next year at MV and make one out of that **** goat.

my lovely wife has a cover for her red motorcycle.
Triumph issue black dust / rain cover.
Mine, naw, Dave's right, what's the use?
I bought it to ride not pamper.
Ya know, now that I'm thinkin' about it,
I missed washing it in May..
Darn the luck.
Oh well, May's just around the corner,
maybe next year.;)

Have a Nelson Rigg cover for my former bike Yamaha VStar and it's great except that apparently the Rocket gets MUCH hotter than the VStar. It's melted a couple of spots and the 2nd incident was waiting about 10 minutes while I chit chatted with coworkers about my new bike...

I'd love to find one that doesn't melt on contact with the Rocket.

Thanks Phil but I am looking for something heavier than that. The problem with the ones that I have been getting is the sun breaks them down to thread bare where you can see thru them then they tear.

I bought the original Triumph all weather one for my Rocket. Fits like a glove , very hard wearing and very well priced I thought. You would most likely get them cheaper in the USA as well. Cost around $150 in OZ if my memory serves me well.
