@Wrecka I have a set of triple K&N 2780s I can "lend" you indefinitely. I'm hanging onto them in case I ever sell the bike because there's no way I'm ever parting with my current intake. I can send them to you and you can use them until you can get whatever set-up you want or in the unlikely event I decide to sell my bike (and not replace it with another Rocket - which is even more unlikely).

then all you will need to buy is the two little filters from Flipmeister 1 for the "air temp sensor" and 1 for the engine breather they are not expensive from him

Glad this was sorted, and it shows that even a failure to add a map can be recovered from. I would also have bet on bad cable first and driver problems second, Win 8.1 isn't that different to 7 or even XP that it should affect things that much.

Mate totally appreciate the offer but i wont say yes atm as i may be in a position to purchase my own over the next few weeks , just going to be patient for now

My opinion for what is worth is to buy the Ramair unless you are going for the in your face look of the K&N RX 4040-1's that I have, the K&N 2780's while suitable have been proven by Lushie and others to only just be adequate for a stock motor I would rather have to much air than only just enough

Does the ramair fit under the claw ?

Pretty sure it eliminates need for the claw.
It's a complete system and looks cool as well.

Thanks 1olbull , just looked at a photo that is as you say , only thing im not sold on is the way the overflow bottle looks just hanging there , an alloy one in the same place or relocated to the defunct airbox would be a must

Does the ramair fit under the claw ?

Yes it fits under the bear claw. Even though the overflow bottle would be hidden, you may as well relocated to the air box anyway. You even use the same hoses; all you have to do is swap them over.
