Tune ECU help

Good news mate , it's great there's sites like this with good people willing to help others in trouble. I'll take my windows 7 Laptop home tomorrow and see if it works with my cable , not even sure if there's anything i can tweak on my R3R , Hanso do you know if there's any map updates benificial to my bike with standard exhaust and intake ?

Also if anyone is keen to show me how to sync throttle bodies at RDU i'd be grateful.............

You can open up the secondaries and also copy the 4/5 gear ignition map to the first three gears (that will unleash the beast and smooth out the low throttle response) then if you added a bit of fuel all over as the OEM tunes are way lean, if you are not sure of how to do this send me your e-mail in a "conversation" and I will respond
 
@Wrecka Also I will bring my little laptop to RDU and we can sync the throttles, as long as you pull All the plumbing of and either get a Ramair, triple K&N's or similar no probs

That and my little screwdriver:rolleyes:

I have a hand-me-down RamAir arriving in the post today hopefully. I was going to put triple K&N's on, but given that the RamAir has only cost me postage the offer was too good to pass up. My cutie-pie pods will be repurposed as mirror ornaments. :)

May have to give that a miss then mate, moneys a bit tight as it is for now , wont be buying any induction setup till after RDU unfortunately ,but if i get TuneECU working i'll hit you up for help on the map mods etc.

yeah but also open up the secondaries or you wont get the full benefit from the ignition changes also it would hurt to add 5% fuel to your F tables to compensate the extra air flow you could probably go as far as 10% with out it being to rich, give me a call when you are ready to do it if you are not sure
Thats a good win getting the Ramair for postage only

it (the plenum) is a prick of a thing to pull of let alone put back on why don't you put a wanted add on here for even just a second hand set of K&N 2780's till you can get the better Ramair or if you like big filters hanging out the side like my K&N RX 4040-1's incidentally buy then from the states as I paid only a fraction more for the 3 of them then Repco wanted for 1
 
See how i go over the next few weeks mate , if i can get the coin i'll definately get them , that way if it's within a decent time frame and Mitch has time i'll take him up on his previous offer to fit them up and put a tune into it. I suppose i should double check to make sure it's not a 14 R3R because arnt the ECU's locked on them ?
