Tune ECU help

I doubt it is the program that is causing the problem since it works so well for everyone else!

What cable are your using? From what I've read, the cheap non certified cables can cause problems. Use the ones certified by TuneECU. I have the Lonelec cable and it works fine.

Dave check with @ponters or @Rough-but-slow, there is another guy just cant remeber his forum name, e is heavilly in to martial arts someone may be able to help you with his name I know he has a cable which works because I helped him make his open exhaust Rocket safe to ride till he could get to a dyno, they are All Melbourneites one of them may have a cable for you to try in case it is your cable, I'd send mine but currently using it myself, it would be a week before I could send it

Mate, I struggled with the normal cable as I needed the cable with a chip in it which I think only tuneboy does. That said I couldn't get it to work with a mac and had to use a pc platform.

Also there was something about ensuring you specify the port so it knows which usb it is running.

I had no luck until I got a bloke... Douglas to lend me a tuneboy cable. I still have one of @Mittzy 's cables he leaned me. It doesn't have a chip in it but apparently most blokes use it somehow.

Sorry I can be more help. I ended up sending it to Neville Lush to do everything for me as I got jack of trying to work it out.

I can't see how it is the cable seeing it worked to down load the tune from the ecu and send it to hanso and when i try and reconnect now it fails ? I wouldn't care but now i can't even start the bike because the download failed half way . I have a new battery 2 months old 500ah , i have pulled the light fuse , connected a battery charger 6000ah . so please tell me what needs to be done now

I have the cable from Lonelec which is from the link on here , It worked the first time to down load the original map no problems so it must be a glitch some where ?

Dave,

try the following:

Open TuneECU and open an OEM map.

For the Roadster up to VIN 574812 the 20352
For the Roadster from VIN 574813 the 20773

Now let TuneECU with the bike connect and start the recovery process if the program you ask for it.

I myself have a abort of data transfers on my Roadster and on my Speed Triple 1050 already provoked some times, the recovery has worked without exception.

Regards,

Tom

I am not IT pro but I always remove the headlight fuse when I am connecting to the ECU, then refit the fuse to start the bike, have not had any trouble. I have Hans 20 map in my R3R 20111.
