OK seat arrived over night good service , Looks like very good quality and yes i will have to do some fiddling to make it fit . Lucky for me i have a set of old seats i can pull the mounting parts off , can't wait to get it on and go for a test ride .

this the mounting plate i made out of 3mm Stainless Steel but I had the advanage of having threaded metal inserts to mount to, this is before I riveted the seat catch of a std seat to the plate bracket

Thanks Hanso , i will be doing something similar once i get home . I have an old set of gel seats which i got cheap from the fella from WA who moved to Japan , we tried them for a reasonable ride and Marg was almost in agony with pain . The front was not much better for me so i would say they are fooked and cost me bugger all . I also have a deluxe touring seat from Triumph i could use as a donor for parts as well but would prefer to keep this one intact and sell off if this all works out . If all else fails there's Velcro :D

Well this may be a little more difficult than first thought , the top of the rear shocks is in the way . So the question is do i modify or do i sell it to some one in OZ that owns a touring model ? I will have a good look tomorrow and ponder the modifications needed .

I'd shift it on, mate, and try to get one that's meant for your bike. Likely you'll bugger it up if you try to make that one fit.

I have a rumbleseat already adapted for an early r3.it still unlocks with the key just like a stock seat.used a 1/4 inch of steel to shim the stock lockpin. works great and no silly bracket, ithink the only downfall to a corbin seat is that bracket. you need to carry an allen wrench or you cant get to your tool kit,or under the seat. iam considering selling or trading this seat if anyone is interested.
