Throttle Lock / Controls

MoMan, the cheapest throttle lock out there is the GoCruise. It's an ingenious little piece of plastic that fits over the grip and works quite well. Try it first and see if you are comfortable with the idea of a throttle lock and then decide if you want to invest in a more expensive version.

I'm still debating on installing the Rostra unit that's been sitting on my shelf for 18 months. I'd really like to have a true electronic cruise control.

After I made that post I looked it up, seems like a solution but there were a few sites mentioned (triumphrat among others) and apparently there has been no joy in getting the output...or was it input to the unit that would allow it to work properly...seemed like a work in progress and I hope they eventually find the solution but I can almost see why it has sat on your shelf for the last 18 months. Like you I wish there was a true cruise control for our bikes (Gold Wing and the Harley tourers have them) so that with that heavy throttle action on the Rocket we can give our right hands a break ( I know that is too good of an opening for some of you to pass up but we are talking cruise control here:().

I typically use it to give my right hand a rest now and then and don't use it like a automotive cruise control. But I wanted one that would disengage when the brake is applied and not rely on "friction" to keep the throttle set as well as friction to disengage quickly. But, the Breakaway is just one of many.

I jus looked up the McCruise, you weren't whistling Dixie when you said it cost...almost a thousand dollars...does look nice and it does do cruise control duties besides just giving your wrist a break.

It will be over that by the time you pay tax and shipping lol but it is the closet thing I have found to a true cruise that works with out the headache on the install takes about 3 1/2 hours to do

I just get my missus to lean forward and grab hold of my throttle when I need a ..................................

hang on, sorry folks, wrong website :whitstling:

I bought the $8. plastic palm rest for my 1000 mile weekend ride a n was surprised how much it helped with the numbness.
