I won't be pissed if I get a good outcome. There is a lot of metal in that engine. Hopefully anything I miss will end up in the sump and not somewhere it will cause problems. I suppose the prudent thing to do would be to remove the engine and split the cases. I'm not going to do that. If it f's up again I'll get a different one !

Change oil OFTEN after you get it back together for the next 1000klms
Could even recycle the oil after filtering it through some cheese cloth into a clean container with a magnet in the bottom.

"OR" knock the magnet off an old speaker and tape it on the oil filter

And this kinda explains my dealer blowing off my vibration problem. Can you imagine this taking place in a dealership, with other bikes going in and out, all the parts laying everywhere, a whole bay or 2 tied up for how long ??? Seeing as how I picked up my 2013 on 3/29/2013 I guess I have until 3/29/2015 for warranty. At about 9000 miles now. Still not happy with strange vibrations, buzzes, etc. I hope if she's going to take a dump, it's sooner, than later. Sure does mess up thoughts of taking a loooong ride though. "Triumph" are you reading ???? 3 final drives, 2013, sumpthin ain't right !!!!!!

So how much time and effort and $$$ do think you will be in for by the time its back together?
Just thinking out loud I am going to buy the extended warranty when the time comes for 3 more years at $895.00 and have someone else deal with it when it happens...

Fred if you have a scope you can look up on top of the windage tray. If there is any metal up there you can pull the 8 main ladder bearing bolts and take the ladder and windage tray down to clean more. with them down you will see all the rods and up into the cylinders. You can re-use the ladder bolts and no gaskets are required for this. It also can be done once you get the motor mounted back in in or at least wait until it is to torque the ladder back up.
I have plenty of pictures in my albums on the Tech site if you need a look see!!
