It was a catastrophe for me also, since i'm not as smart as Frerd i have to pay somebody to fix the spyder, about $2800 spent so far and the spyder is not even at the repair shop yet!

:sneaky: it's insured isn't it ... fire f#cks forensics remember ..hahaha
 
It looks like you are doing a good job of getting it apart. Let me know if you need the special Triumph tools for removing/replacing the engine.
 
Impressive skills. Makes me wonder about the wear on a bike after 50K? Seems like the final drive wd. be designed to go a lot longer given the power and torque of the beastly engine?

Thanks for the offer Ian. I got the special sockets in a bunch of Triumph tools I bought on eat-me-bay a couple years ago. Scored so big I felt sorry for the seller. Got the 2 sockets, clutch hub holder, alternator rotor puller, cam sprocket holder, and another large wrench with two pins sticking out for holding something inside the engine for $18.00. NOBODY bid on it. The ***** about having tools is then you have to fix stuff.
