Still have the popping

I have installed the new tune for the Jardines and triples that Brian sent and had a bad case of decel popping. Somebody said to go into the L tables and on L1 & L2, increase the values from 0 to 610 and on L3 from 0 to 630. I have done this and down loaded it into the bike.
I have just returned from a test ride and this didn't fix it. Still bad case of the pops. Does anyone else have a fix that I might try?

Are you talking Map 0? I have all 0s in Map 0 for L1, L2 and L3 and no decel popping. I do have an R3T with TORS and Triples, so I'm not sure how it would differ from the Standard/Classic.

I wouldn't go more than 5% at a time because I think the tune I sent you had some correction already. If you need some help I can put a few together for you.

I would also check for exhaust leaks just in case that is what is causing it. And also since your Jardines have been through some hot and cold cycles, re-torque the exhaust port flange nuts.

In the yellow areas I would do 5% then 10% in the pink areas. For each of the L 1,2 and 3 maps.

Email me the tune you are using, I can't remember off the top of my head which one I sent you.

I've used this Link Removed for several years,on a Standard engine tune, and it has worked great with stocker bologna pipes. Now with MadDogs it, the decel pop, is again present. I expect an additional 5% is in order. Thats a major plus for Tuneboy: You can dink around with adjustments at-will, without dyno appointments at $120 a pop

I tellya right now this ole Tourer runs like a Streetfighter...as much so as I want her to. Now to be sure, my beast is the original USA R3TourER, Cardinal Red and Phantom (heretik) Black. Standard silver engine, like the '05, with Classic appointments plus the USA ONLY add-on package ($1900 for ~500) known as the Tourer; not the Touring. The link above is not going to work on a TourING.

Try stuffing a rag in the exhaust while cold, start it up for a short time and check for obvious leaks. A poor clamp seal will cause backfires (decel pop) from the fresh air entering. As well as repositioning the exhaust and clamps, you can seal them up better with an exhaust sealer that hardens when it gets hot. I can't recomend a "brand" of sealer, I get if from pep boys and it comes in a tube.
