That glare is a problem as I have noticed it as well. On a bright sunny day traveling the right direction it really shows up. I have considered blacking out a portion of the speedometer mount, maybe creating a black mask out of contact paper to black out the most prominent parts. For now...I just live with it. The windshield is not going...those days are gone for me.

Boog, I had the problem with the sun as well until I installed a windshield bag for that issue.

Never mind, I must be tired, you said speedometer and not Crome headlamps. I was getting glare on sunny days from the headlamps.

kind of old thread but i took a little sticker off a bottle of pears and placed it over the blue hi beam and now it is perfect and i have not seen any one laughing.;)

Wow...with that windshield I can't ever imagine having an issue. I believe the stock windshield is only 16" high. My windshield is 4" taller than that just below my line of sight. Thus the problem I described earlier. I really wish they would mount the gauges up high like the roadster.

I get glare on my speedo on occasion, but it's no issue, for if I can't read it, I just look at the GPS...it tells my speed too!

One of these days I might add one of those. I have an inductive tach on my Intruder, and it's quite unobtrusive. If I can find the Ebay guy who sold it to me maybe I can get another.
