Hoping someone can help me out . Finishing up a rebuild project . It's a 2015 Touring that had been hit broadside on the forks . Twisted the frame pretty bad. Long story short I replaced the frame and forks . Got every thing back together everything works except the Speedometer. I figured the original didn't survive the impact so I bought a brand new one . It doesn't indicate speed either . Everything else works, just the speedometer and odometer don't work. I rechecked all the connections, Flashed a new tune , Checked for any error codes nothing comes up . I was wondering if there was something that needs to be reset , tip over sensor ?

Will not start unless that tip over sensor is correc, Verify Check the speed sensor connector? What kind of risers are they?

IDK about the Rocket in particular, but I thought motorcycles have, or at least used to have, speed sensors on the front wheel. I'm probably dating myself, it's probably all done by the ECU based on gear and speed now.

It starts and runs fine . Other than visually inspecting it, how would you check / test the speed sensor?
The Risers are Baron BA-7410U . Got them from Dennis Kirk . I think I paid $80 for them . Only issue ,the mounting studs that are supplied are too short . I had to drill out the base that was threaded 1/2-13 and re tap them 9/16-12 to accept a thread repair insert that is 9/16-12 x 10-125. then I just used the bolts from the stock risers and bolted them up from the bottom.

How far have you ridden it? It may take a few miles to communicate with the ECU.
I haven't had it inspected or tagged yet , but I did ride it down to the corner store to top off the fuel tank with the original one on it. That one didn't work either.

Don't think there is a wheel sensor. There is a sensor on the bottom of the motor by the kickstand but everything looks good there.
Thats the speed sensor and it plugs behind infill panel on left side between engine and air breather box, check that connection and veryify that sensor is indeed good, it definitely effects the speedometer and your self cancellating signsls, are they working properl? cutting off on there own? Have you checked fuses to make sure and the plug for speedo, the pins to make sure no burns on wire hareness side plug?
