Okay...Don't start laughing at me, but there is no problem that can't be solved with a little serious thinking. It's the shop teacher in me and whether it is made for wood, metal, or plastic, I always have a plan.
My shins got really cold riding in colder weather, so I got the old sewing machine out, made some patterns and designed these. Three layers thick with fleece, a layer of insulation and a windproof fabric on the outside. They are held on with three properly position Velcro straps and extend from my ankle to just above the knee when seated. They roll up to next to nothing and fit in my bags to be put on when needed. They work pretty good...Let the laughter and comments begin. Just wait till you see my lowers when I get around to designing and making a set.
