I live in a area with lots of firs and Alders around me. This is in Washington State and we get lots of rain during spring and fall and the trees drop a lot of debris on the roads which causes the roads to get a moss like substance to grow on them. This can definitely get slippery and you need to pay attention to what your doing. I have found for me I have the least issues in rain mode which seems to cut the torque down causing less slippage of the rear end. Same for painted crosswalks and direction arrows. Rain mode seems to help to me, but as posted by ciderbaby, nothing beats a steady hand.
