...ive heard the prototype on a Rocket as he pulled away from me....i immediately fell in love!...The 2.5 power coming thru in angry mode is something to behold!...i'm pretty sure this bike had been on the dyno after fitting Pauls system and if my memory is correct it was making quite a bit over 200hp at the crank...
This photo is the first R Model development pipe finnished in the Polished Aluminium, Satin black is an option.
This has the original Carbon Fibre heat shield and a little turn out on the end of the muffler, this was Den's (owner of this R) choice, this will not be standard production.
The production pipe will have steel heat shields which are also coated by www.hpcoatings.co.nz so effectively a double Ceramic heat barrier coating.
Note the completely hidden mounting bracket, I like to build things so that they are "just there" no tabs, or brackets hanging off the side to distract from the clean lines.
Here is a better picture of the O2 sensor. Can't tell from the picture but there is about a 1 - 2 mm clearance around it.
And another shot of the new versus old manifolds. Take a close look because the black is not all open port, just the smaller ring is open. The stock header also has a much sharper bend from the head than the Viking exhaust which has a much gentler radius.
Yes, thank you! I have a black one in the works and I am definitely looking forward to it. The Penner tune, my Wilbers rear shock, Paul’s system and Konrad’s tuning magic will have my bike about where I want it. And that’s saying something!
