I haven't touched the rear suspension in a long time and it did seem a little soft so I went to adjust the preload. I watched Col and Zig's video again and I think the confusion is from the terminology used. I counted 34 clicks, half turns, from tightened all the way up to loose at the bottom of the adjuster knob. The video says turn down 10 clicks from tight at the top (my weight matches theirs) however that's only 10 half turns and definitely tight so I have to assume that they talk about 10 complete revolutions which would make it 20 clicks or half turns down and effectively 14 clicks or half turns from the bottom position.
What say you?

Well you have 3 options.
Option 1: do the half clicks and test ride it whoch you already did.

Option 2 : do full clicks and test ride it and see if you like it.

Option 3 : gain enough weight that fully tight is the only adjustment that works.

Well I did 10 full turns down and will see how that feels a little later.

It's really about static sag and how much you should have. That's measured with you on the bike. Remember you can also soften and stiffen the ride with damping adjustments, so to get the correct ride you're looking for preload is only part of the equation.
