paint can rattle on newer bikes

that actually a Triumph Dealers shirt, I liked and asked my dealer if I could buy one the dealer took awhile but got it for me, I forget how much it cost and I had a local embroider add the rest below the "Triumph Motorcycles"

On a side note, I spent a little while wondering just exactly how paint could rattle on a bike. Would it shimmy back and forth?

Well it turns out that it will be next week before I can get the bike to the dealership in Daytona to have a listen. I talked to two dealers and Triumph USA corporate yesterday. All three told me that they had never heard the term "paint can rattle" before. How is that possible with as many problems and update kits that Triumph has done over the years? One of the dealers told me that he hears rockets all the time that rattle when they are cold and goes away on warm-up. He did admited that it sounded like a paint can ball rattle and the considered it to be normal. Another dealer told me that they have never seen a rocket that rattled when it was cold and all three acted like the rockets never really had a problem with the cam chains.......sounds fishy

Hpmmmm a lot of dealers have never heard of the ignition switch problems either or the Detent spring until you come in with the problem, on the 07 - 08 there were a few head gaskets that were faulty but if you ask a dealer about it they will know nothing of it yet Triumph Australia jumped straight in and said no sweat, we'll fix

Update;
So I bought a used cam chain tensioner off ebay so I would have another center bolt to work with, I didnt want to modify the original one on the bike so I could put back in If It goes to the dealer. I did Warp's modification to it to see if this made any difference to the noise. I installed it in my bike and it made no difference at all. After both my wife and I did some focused listening to try to pinpoint the location we think it's not coming from the front right of the engine. The noise is coming from the right side but more from the middle of the engine, instead of the front as thought earlier. IT is in line with #2 cylinder and it's low in the engine, where the upper and lower case half's meet. I'm now thinking Balance shaft bearing but if it were that i would think it would be a little more forward in the engine. I know that noises can travel in an engine and sometimes you will here it in a different location than it originated from. What are everyone's thoughts on this new information. I plan to take this to the dealership as soon as I get a chance, I am just trying to figure this out somewhat before I go.

Thanks in advance,
