I have the 06 Classic with the Black engine and am going to pick her up at the dealership tomorrow :D. They have had it for the last 6 weeks. The bike has 13K on it and they are picking up the tab. They have done the full upgrade kit along with finding a small scratch on one of the main bearings and some slack in the u joint. They are replacing these items with new at no charge also. They found the rear brake pads were getting close and called and asked if I wanted to replace them while they were there. I had him install the new pads for the cost of the pads only. If all goes well there will be no issues with the bike from here out and I will be one happy camper.

My 05 with 5200 miles was in for a tire, the idle recall and a battery last Sept. The dealer noticed a noise and called Triumph. The upgrade kit was ordered and installed in about a 3 week total time frame. The bike was noticeably quieter and smoother shifting. My son's 05 has about 9000 miles and has had no such problem. In any event, Triumph stepped up to the plate and fixed it and now it is perfect. But who knows if there is a pattern developing or just a weird convergence of circumstance that creates the problem. Kudos to Myers in Asheville for having an on the ball service department. My local dealer, Powersports of Greenville did not even want to do the idle recall.

If you approach this with a carte-blanc attitude, Triumph may well suspend the silent recall. It's better to leave 'sleeping dogs' lie and deal with it on a case-by-case basis with respective dealers.
I'm in, with that as well!

Good question...I am the second owner of an '05, only 6k on the clock. Mine shift kind of clunky but I guess I don't know what "right" is supposed to be like. The good news, I live 70 miles from Baxter Cycle:D

I guess I will ride over some day this week and let them ride it.

i believe if you buy one new and then sell it that the warranty is transferable if there is a warranty left on it when you buy it not a 100% sure but that is what i think
