I just got rivco risers for my standard and want to know just how crazy I need to get rerouting cables, is there anything I should be warned about?
Make sure you can lift the speedo and tach assembly to lift the tank.

I had Flanders Ultra Classic bars on my 2005 standard:

http://www.sideroadcycles.com/importedmotorcycles/ImportHandlebars/ImportMore/ImportUltra2-2.html

They supposed are 2" higher with 3" pullback. I'm 5'10" and even these bars were not perfect. This could have been due to the Corbin seat. If you sit on the bike with your arms in a comfortable position, how much pull back do you need? I'm sure there's something on the Flanders site that will work. Expect to replace some cables.

I just sold a T-Bird with 6" Rivco risers. That was totally comfortable with the stock bars but it's a completely different bike.

Although this is an old thread -
Thanx @dougl
Ordered me up a set of these Flanders just now.
Hope they do the trick for my Roadster as the Classic bars did not.
BTW - did you need new longer cables?

Yes, I believe they changed either the left brake cable or clutch or both.

Well, I shall see after mounting them up.
At least it's winter and there is plenty time before the spring ride to RAA X.

Steve how do you like the Flanders bars ? Do you have a picture of the Flanders and the stock bars side by side ?

Bill, some outfit called Sideroad Cycles is running it now and they are screwed up.
After several self inflicted hic-cups by them, I cancelled the order.
Been looking ever since for the "right" bars.
I want at least 14" pullback with 9" or 10" height, 9" centet width and around 34" - 35" OAL.
I may just try making my own as I have a good bender and some 4130 1" tubing.

Flanders is not Flanders anymore? I am configuring a new R3R and also need more pullback. I'm getting a Longhaul Dual Touring seat with backrest. The bars have to be far enough back to push me into the backrest. I had a 2012 T-Bird with the same seat and with the stock bars, the 6" riser worked perfectly. The riser for the Rocket is shorter and I believe it hits the tank when you lift it. Also, the Rocket is longer.

I had 650-08715 on my 2005 Rocket, which were 7" high, 14" pullback, 12" center, and 31.25" wide. This was not quite far enough back and was too narrow - it cocked my wrists inward. 650-08725 is 9" high, 14" pullback, 12" center, and 33.5" wide. This might work for me.

I did more research. On the Flanders site, it says that on the stock Rocket 2005-13, the bars are 9"H, 14" pullback, 6" center, and 35"W. I find that hard to believe that my original bars were higher with the same pullback as my UC's. They weren't, otherwise I wouldn't have replace them. I also found wide cruiser bars (650-08173) that are 7.75" H, 15" PB, 8.5" center, and 35"W.

That bar is the best one I have found as well. I may add a couple more inches under the stock risers as well.
I'm tire of looking so I ordered it from JP Cycles, whose web site works WAY better than Side Road cycles aka Flanders!
